Ur ("the app") is a board game for Android with optional online multiplayer. This policy describes what data the app handles and why. Short version: no accounts, no data sale, and the app itself collects nothing that identifies you personally; advertising and crash reporting are provided by Google and described below.
When you play online, your display name, anonymous player ID, and your game moves are sent over an encrypted connection (TLS) to a relay server. The server holds this data in memory only, for the duration of your session — it stores nothing on disk and keeps no history of games or players.
The app may show advertising served by Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google may process your device's advertising ID and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads; in the European Economic Area and the UK you will be asked for consent before any ad is requested, and you can decline. See how Google uses advertising data. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings.
All app data lives on your device. Uninstalling the app (or clearing its storage) deletes your display name and player ID permanently; the server has nothing to delete.
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. It requires no personal information; nicknames are filtered for offensive content. Any ads shown are served by Google AdMob as described in the Advertising section.
Changes to this policy will be posted at this address.
